USE ONLY CLEANING PRODUCTS RECOMMENDED FOR
WOOD FLOORS WITH URETHANE FINISHES.
We recommend citrus based (orange/lemon) natural cleaning products suitable
for floors.
Recoating Note: New products have
been introduced that allow you to recoat a urethane
floor without sanding. These products bond new urethane
to old. They will not bond to bare wood.
How often do you recoat? - Recoating
should happen when traffic patterns have appeared
in your finish. You cannot recoat if you wear through
to wood/bamboo.
Recoat vs. refinish:
Recoating - Apply another layer of urethane to mask scratching or traffic patterns.
Existing urethane remains.
Refinish - Sand off existing urethane and remove dents/dings from flooring.
Common Issues:
Scratching - All Urethane finishes, including ceramic and aluminum oxide, will
scratch. Use walk off mats to remove small pebbles and dirt from shoes. Sweep
floors regularly. Make sure no nails
